Job summary

Promet Source, a Chicago-based web development company, is seeking a part-time remote Project Manager to join our team of Drupal professionals. Work up to 20 hours per week at $50–$70 per hour.

The Project Manager will plan, coordinate, execute and deliver projects, manage budgets and timelines, maintain client relationships, and collaborate with deployment teams on Drupal initiatives and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience specifically on website/web development projects
• Experience working with a CMS in an agency setting
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration or a related field
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated, independent self-starter
• Experience developing project budgets, tracking expenses, coaching teams, and improving processes
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management
• Working knowledge of web accessibility standards and how to apply them in practice
• Experience working part-time and remote
• Experience or certification in web accessibility is a strong plus
• Must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Keeping internal and external stakeholders informed of project progress, risks, and milestones
• Project Planning: Assigns and recommends resources for assigned projects
• Project Planning: Forecasts resource allocation on a quarterly basis
• Project Planning: Identifies and documents project requirements at the start of each project
• Project Planning: Maintains the first point of contact for customer stakeholders
• Project Planning: Reviews development work, ticket progress, keeps project tracking software up to date
• Project Planning: Keep the project team focused and unblocked; obtain answers, document needs, update tickets
• Project Planning: Assist with maintenance and creation of internal process and wiki documentation
• Project Planning: Build strong relationships with clients
• Project Budgeting: Create and approve monthly project invoices
• Project Budgeting: Develop project budgets, monitor and track budgets against pre-sales estimates
• Project Budgeting: Forecast project budget and timeline changes well in advance and inform stakeholders

Promet Source is a Chicago-based web development company seeking a part-time remote Project Manager to work up to 20 hours per week with an hourly rate of $50–70 to join our established team of Drupal professionals.

About the Role

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy, commitments, and goals. This role reports to the PMO. This role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and experience leading technical teams.

Projects may include new development initiatives as well as ongoing support and maintenance engagements, requiring comfort switching between build-focused and support-oriented workflows.

Duties/Responsibilities

Project Planning

• Responsible for project execution coming to completion at or under budget
• Responsible for keeping internal and external stakeholders informed of project progress, risks, and milestones weekly or more frequently as needed
• Assigns and recommends resources for assigned projects
• Forecasts resource allocation on a quarterly basis
• Identifies and documents project requirements at the start of each project
• Maintains the first point of contact for customer stakeholders
• Reviews development work, ticket progress, keeps project tracking software up to date
• Responsible to keep the project team focused and unblocked from obstacles when possible; this may include getting answers to questions in a timely manner, documenting needs, updating tickets, and more
• Assist with maintenance and creation of internal process and other wiki documentation
• Build strong relationships with clients

Project Budgeting

• Create and approve monthly project invoices
• Develop project budgets, monitor and track budgets against pre-sales estimates for individual projects
• Forecast project budget and timeline changes well in advance and inform stakeholders of any changes

Project Account Growth

• Identify upsells: identify valuable additional work to perform for client account
• Sales support: assist with project management related questions and demonstrations
• Build strong relationships with clients
