Job summary

Think Together in California is seeking a part-time Program Leader to guide an assigned group of students in an in-person setting at district and school sites.

You will provide homework help, enrichment, and life skills while maintaining safety and behavior using the program's core agreements. Strong communication and patience are essential.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic math and English skills, and the ability to work with English learners; Spanish bilingual is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• District-specific: 48 semester/60 quarter units and/or pass pre-employment test.
• Ability to speak and write Standard English in a public-school setting.
• Must pass Live Scan (background check).
• Provide negative TB Test dated within the last 3 years.
• At least six months experience working with a group of 10+ students in group settings.
• Advanced Math and English skills (K–8).
• Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).
• Bi-literate (Spanish preferred) to support English-learner population.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students in an in-person setting, maintaining high behavior and safety standards.
• Serve as a positive adult role model through dress, speech, and attitude.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging.
• Support students in positive behavior choices and disciplinary measures when needed.
• Identify student needs and communicate with Site Program Manager, teachers, school admins and parents as appropriate.
• Participate in staff development.
• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment and physical activity using provided curriculum.
