Job summary

Think Together in California is looking for a Part-Time Program Leader to supervise and mentor groups of students in an in-person setting at school sites. You will lead activities, enforce safety and behavior standards, and collaborate with teachers and parents to support student growth.

Responsibilities include homework help, academic enrichment, snack support, and maintaining an engaging classroom environment for 20–25 students. Spanish bi-literate skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• District-specific 48 semester/60 quarter units and/or pass a pre-employment test.
• Ability to speak and write Standard English appropriate in a public-school setting.
• Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check).
• Provide negative TB Test dated within the last 3 years.
• At least six months experience working with a group of 10 or more students in a classroom, afterschool, or recreation environment.
• Advanced Math and English skills (K–8).
• Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).
• Bi-literate (Spanish preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students in-person, maintaining behavior and safety.
• Serve as a positive adult role model through dress, speech, and attitude.
• Create an engaging environment fostering belonging.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices and discipline when needed.
• Identify student needs and communicate with site program manager, teachers, parents.
• Participate in staff development.
• Provide homework assistance and academic enrichment in-person learning.
• Work with 20–25 students in classroom; assist with snack, setup, cleanup.
• Maintain student safety by taking roll and reviewing sign-in/out.
