Job summary

City of Huntington Beach seeks a Part-Time Program Coordinator – Contract Classes & Sponsorships at City Hall. The role focuses on expanding recreation programming and sponsorship opportunities, working up to 19 hours weekly, with some evenings/weekends possible.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 3 years of related experience in recreation or contract class management. A California driver’s license and CPR/First Aid/AED certificates are required within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years directly related experience in recreation or contract class management.
• Must have California driver’s license at appointment and throughout employment.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certificates must be obtained within three months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate contract class programs meeting community needs and interests.
• Assist recruitment of volunteers and contract class instructors; determine class placement.
• Prepare contract documents; ensure insurance; assist with payments and contractor training.
• Maintain contractor relationships and assist with program evaluations and assessments.
• Provide information to customers and register them for activities as needed.
• Create flyers/ads for SANDS as required; respond to inquiries.
