Job summary

Cambrian College's School of Skills Training is seeking part-time professors to teach in the Truck & Coach Technician program - Apprenticeship starting in January 2026. Applicants must hold Truck & Coach 310T Red Seal qualifications and have at least five years of relevant work experience, along with strong communication and teaching skills.

Additional preference for postsecondary teaching experience. Applicants should submit educational documents and a Certificate of Qualification

Qualifications

• Must hold Truck & Coach 310T Red Seal Qualifications; education documents must be submitted with application (WES/ICAS if education from outside Canada).
• Five years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to be an effective role model in the classroom.
• Ability to use creative teaching approaches and current teaching strategies to enhance student progress.
• Good organizational skills and computer software skills.
• Ability to function within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Review a list of courses within this program and prepare to teach in the Truck & Coach Technician Apprenticeship.
• Deliver course content and assess student performance within a postsecondary setting.

Qualifications

Required

• Must hold Truck & Coach 310T Red Seal Qualifications (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application )
• Five years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to be an effective role model in the classroom.
• Ability to use creative teaching approaches and current and emerging teaching and learning strategies to enhance student progress.
• Possess good organizational skills and sound computer software skills.
• Ability to function within a team environment

Additional Assets/Preferred

• Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
