Job summary

Food Lion seeks a Produce Department team member to provide quality customer service and maintain fresh, well-displayed produce while following standard practices.

Responsibilities include receiving and displaying merchandise, using ACIS/CAO tools, and adhering to Food Lion safety guidelines. You will unload trucks, assist customers, and complete CBT training as part of ongoing development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying merchandise adheres to policies and guidelines.
• Unload trucks for the Produce Department.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Maintain adherence to guidelines and safety procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge on duty.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
