Job summary

Food Lion in Fairmont, WV is seeking a Produce/Perishable Associate to deliver quality customer service and maintain standards in the Produce Department. You will help maximize sales through appealing displays and well-stocked shelves.

You will unload trucks, follow safety guidelines, and use tools like ACIS and CAO as needed. The role requires wearing a uniform, completing CBT and training, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
• Courteous and helpful to other associates
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying merchandise per policies
• Unload trucks for the Produce Department
• Understand and use ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering
• Maintain adherence to company guidelines and standard practice
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge on duty
• Complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Aid courses
• Perform all other duties as assigned
