Job description

This is a part-time position. Primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop.

Responsibilities include processing, packaging, and stocking produce products according to standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. When assigned, perform duties of floral clerk.

Requirements:

2. Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills; willingness to participate in and complete required training; ability to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
3. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training; or equivalent.
4. Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and correspondence in English; effective in one-on-one and small group communication.
5. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers using units of American money and weight measurement.
6. Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions; handle problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
7. Certificates and Licenses: Completion of company training including orientation, food sanitation, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
8. Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, handle, reach, talk, hear, and smell; occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch; able to lift/move up to 60 pounds; specific vision abilities required.
9. Work Environment: Constantly in a cool environment (55-60°F), frequently exposed to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and cold; noise level moderate to loud.
