Job summary

The Patient Support Assistant (PSA) at Mayo Clinic supports patients, providers and nursing staff throughout the care experience. You will prepare procedure rooms, support room turnover, assist during procedures, and help with supplies and transport patients as needed.

Working with an interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to efficient workflows and a positive patient experience through service, communication, and teamwork. This role is non-exempt and part-time in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and one year of patient care experience.
• Experience with Windows-based apps and intranet/internet navigation; EHR exposure preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and ensure proper setup.
• Support efficient room turnover and cleaning between patients.
• Assist providers and nursing staff during procedures.
• Transport patients to and from the department.
