Job summary

Advising & LifeMap at BHCC seeks a Part-Time Advisor to support new and continuing students using a holistic advising model. The role focuses on proactive outreach, helping students plan education, career and transfer paths, and assisting with registration and referrals.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology or related field and 2 years of advising experience, with proficiency in TES software and MS Office. On-campus Tue/Thu, remote Fri 9am-11am.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology or related field, plus two years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in student information systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive advising to new and continuing BHCC students to support success and retention.
• Assist with registration and create personalized education, career and transfer plans.
• Refer students to faculty/program coordinators and provide appropriate referrals.
• Participate in Start Now enrollment events and outreach for early alerts.
