Job summary

Unity School of Christianity in Unity Village, MO is seeking a part-time Mailroom Clerk to prepare, process and package letters, booklets and other printed materials for daily distribution. You will ensure shipments have the proper documentation and are handled promptly to support reliable service for internal and external customers.

The position requires operating mail processing equipment, performing insertions, packing orders, maintaining records and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 6 months experience in a distribution or shipping environment preferred.
• Mechanically inclined is helpful.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn pallet jack training program.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery/equipment used to process daily mail and other print jobs.
• Sort, fold, insert letters and enclosures; process retypes and reprints; run printers and cutters.
• Pick and pack orders for production; prepare for shipment.
• Maintain shipping records and prepare documentation for audits.
• Carry out shipping processes with proper labeling and tracking.
• Fulfill subscription back-starts and missed copies.
• Keep the work area clean; uphold safety guidelines.
