Job Location: Unity School of Christianity - Unity Village, MO 64065
Salary Range: $15.50 - $16.00 Hourly
Schedule: Part-time; 7am - 4:30pm three days a week: Mondays, Tuesdays, and one other flexible day of the week
Position Summary: Responsible for accurately preparing, processing, and packaging letters, booklets, and other printed materials for daily distribution. Ensures all shipments are accompanied by the appropriate documentation and handled in a timely manner to support high-quality service for both internal and external customers.
Essential Job Functions
- Operate machinery/equipment used to process daily mail and other print jobs.
- Perform all the following functions: sort, fold, hand / machine insert letters and enclosures; process letter retypes and reprints; operate printers, cutters, tabbers and pallet jacks; provide monthly activity reports as requested.
- Efficiently and accurately pick and pack orders for production and prepare for shipment.
- Check-in, observe and communicate with team members to assess areas needing assistance.
- Carry out shipping processes and procedures to maintain production efficiency. Including proper labeling on all shipments.
- Create, maintain, run shipping records.
- Fulfill subscription back-starts and missed copies.
- Maintain appropriate records and documents assigned to support internal and external audits.
- Use equipment such as pallet jacks to move large quantities of work.
- Keep work area clean and organized to facilitate a safe and efficient work environment.
- Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule. – this position is not a remote or telecommute position.
- Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements and guidelines.
- Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off requests.
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Assist in daily end of day processes in order to mail output in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collate, staple and assist in copy center jobs as necessary.
- Maintain and run reports, as requested.
- Crosstrain in all distribution department functions to support and assist other members of the team, as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Mechanically inclined is helpful/preferred. 6 months experience in a distribution or shipping environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in detail-oriented work demonstrating ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and become certified under the organization’s pallet jack training program.
- Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of PC systems and keyboarding skills.
