Base pay range

$12.00/hr - $14.00/hr

Summary

Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for ECE daycare center.

We are looking for a caring, energetic, patient, flexible, and compassionate individual to join our teacher team. We are dedicated to offering the utmost quality of care to our children and families. Candidates should possess at least 1 year of experience with children aged 2 to 5 years old. Must be of Christian faith and value introducing Biblical principles to young children by demonstrating the love of Christ. Must pass a background check. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Duties

1. Provide materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use in learning activities and imaginative play.
2. Attend to children's basic needs, including feeding, dressing, and diaper changing.
3. Teach basic skills such as color, shape, number, and letter recognition, as well as personal hygiene and social skills.
4. Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
5. Read books to classes or small groups.
6. Organize and lead activities promoting physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
7. Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
8. Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related issues and discuss with supervisors, parents, or specialists.
9. Meet with parents to discuss children's progress, needs, and ways to promote learning.
10. Follow all policies and procedures.
11. Prepare materials for class activities.
12. Teach proper eating habits and personal hygiene.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of childcare experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• College Degree in Child-Related Field or CDA is a plus.

Nice to Have

• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• CDA (Child Development Associate).
