Job summary

Tidewater Community College is seeking part-time Practical Nursing Education Program Instructors for the Beazley School of Nursing. Instructors will provide clinical and lab instruction, supervise groups of students in healthcare settings, and maintain records and communications with sites and faculty.

Responsibilities include coordinating with course objectives, performing mandatory trainings, and supporting student success with timely feedback.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Virginia.
• Minimum of five years of recent full-time clinical RN experience.
• Medical/Surgical nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students in clinical and lab settings.
• Supervise and evaluate groups of students in hospital or health care settings.
• Understand course objectives and nursing curriculum.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with clinical sites, faculty, and staff.
• Work may occur during day, evening, or weekend as assigned.
