Job summary

Waterworks Aquatics in Pasadena, CA is seeking a part-time Lifeguard/Deck Guard to keep swimmers safe. You’ll monitor the pool deck, assist guests and staff, and respond calmly to safety situations.

You don’t need competitive swimming experience—just alertness, following safety procedures, and willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED (Infant/Child/Adult). Pay is $19.50–$20.50 per hour with flexible scheduling and paid training.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor assigned swimming areas to ensure guest and student safety.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to swimmers in distress or emergencies.
• Provide basic first aid and assist with incident response per company protocols.
• Follow and execute Waterworks Aquatics’ Emergency Action Plan.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the pool deck.
• Maintain pool deck cleanliness and safety, including light maintenance and restroom checks.
• Communicate guest or facility concerns to management using proper channels.
