Job summary

Masonic Villages is hiring a Pool Lifeguard at the Sewickley Campus to support a wellness program for residents. This part-time role runs mornings (8am–11:30am) and may require 1–2 Saturdays per month, with starting pay at $17.25 per hour.

Your responsibilities include implementing fitness programming, opening/closing duties, supervising the pool, coordinating with wellness staff, assisting with communications, and maintaining a clean, safe facility with proper documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent with experience with fitness and exercise programs preferred.
• One-year experience with seniors is desirable.
• Maintains certifications in CPR and First Aid.
• Strives to acquire and maintain certifications from ACSM, NESTA, and NSCA.
• Lifeguard Certification required.
• Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
• Certified Pool Operator certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement fitness programming as directed by the Wellness Coordinator or Wellness Manager.
• Actively participate in staff meetings.
• Responsible for opening and closing the facility. Recommend closing for inclement weather and notifies Wellness Manager.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the operation of all exercise equipment. Report damage to the Wellness Coordinator or Wellness Manager promptly.
• Demonstrates knowledge of all emergency facility procedures.
• Maintains a reliable presence in the Fitness/Wellness Center to assist members and checks membership cards.
• Assists with development and design of flyers and announcements. Distributes Health/Wellness information to residents and employees.
• Maintains a clean, safe facility and checks infection control documentation.
• Provide clerical support such as scheduling, answering phones, filing, and data entry.
• Stay current with information on fitness, wellness, diseases and conditions.
• Maintain order in the pool area and daily logs; monitor pool chemistry and notify the Wellness Manager.
