Job summary

Ephraim McDowell Health, Inc. is seeking a Lifeguard at McDowell Wellness Center. This PRN role supports pool activities during varied shifts, under supervision of the director or head lifeguard, with emphasis on safety and professional accountability.

The position requires lifeguard certification, CPR/First Aid, and high school graduation (preferred). Compensation starts at $12.33–$15.41 per hour with a 5% weekend differential.

Qualifications

• Experience as lifeguard preferred but not required.
• Current lifeguard certification from any agency (e.g., American Red Cross).
• Current American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and promote a safe environment for aquatic activities.
• Assist with facility cleanliness (pool water, deck, etc.).
• Test water chemistry as required and handle fecal/vomit emergencies.
• Demonstrate dependability in job performance and support organization mission.
