Job summary

The City of Sioux City is seeking a Part-time Police Records Technician to join the Police Records Division. The 2nd shift runs 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., 3–4 days a week including weekends and holidays, with occasional other shifts as needed.

This role requires NCIC certification within six months of hire and the ability to process complex data, warrants, reports, and public requests accurately.

Qualifications

• Must obtain NCIC certification within six months.
• Ability to process complex data and reports.
• Knowledge of NCIC regulations and Iowa Code a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates NCIC computer system in compliance with regulations.
• Receives and enters information from officers and the public.
• Prepares and submits monthly statistical information.
• Responds to requests for information and determines release eligibility.
• Maintains records and assists with archiving and data entry.
