Job summary

State of New Hampshire is hiring a part-time Communications Specialist II for the Division of State Police, SOCPF, in Concord. You will handle two-way radio, telephone, and dispatch systems to support enforcement and emergency personnel.

Minimum qualifications include a 4-year education/experience mix; background checks; and readiness for rigorous, high-volume public interaction. Training opportunities and progression are described in the posting.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after high school.
  • Experience in dispatch, public safety, or high-volume customer interactions.
  • Background and motor vehicle checks will be required for suitability.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and disseminate information via Astro Radio, multi-line phone, CAD, and national networks.
  • Coordinate assignment of officers during emergencies and routine calls.
  • Enter, review, and locate records in NCIC per federal guidelines.
  • Operate hospital switchboard and surveillance equipment as needed.
  • Record alarms, incidents, and responses; maintain logs for audits.
  • Assist in training new staff and provide office support as required.
  • Prepare monthly activity reports for supervisors.
