Job summary

TeamHealth is seeking a part-time PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C to provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat psychiatric and neurocognitive disorders in older adults, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in post-acute and long-term care settings across Abilene and San Angelo, Texas.

The role offers clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling with two days per week, on-site care with remote documentation, and a supportive environment with no night or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C
• Active DEA or willingness to obtain
• 6 months experience needed as a PMHNP or Psych PA
• Experience with older adults or post-acute care preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings
