Job summary

BioLife in Onalaska, WI is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to support plasma collection. Shifts are typically 4 to 6 hours per day, 3+ days a week, with an emphasis on reliability and open communication about schedule changes.

You will greet donors, perform venipuncture, monitor during donation, and assist with center operations under supervision. Training is provided, and the role requires standing for long periods and occasional heavy lifting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years minimum experience in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.
• Ability to walk/stand for the entire shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and manage plasmapheresis machine programming.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within training scope.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with proper disposal.
• Record donor vital signs and enter data into the DIS.
• Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors via Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational improvements.
