Job summary

The City of Raleigh is seeking a part-time Planner to join the Planning and Development department, contributing to Raleigh’s Next Comprehensive Plan. You will work with the long-range planning team to shape growth strategies over the next 25 years and engage with residents across the city.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, collaboration with colleagues, and the ability to translate public input into policy. Evening and weekend attendance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field and 1 year of planning experience in a relevant area or equivalent combination.
• Experience with public engagement and long-range planning preferred.
