Job summary

BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Program Physician for our Health Care Resource Centers in Massachusetts (Chicopee/Northampton/Greenfield/Westfield).

The role involves admitting patients to methadone and buprenorphine programs, performing histories and physicals, and managing medication dosing within an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is board-certified or eligible in Addiction Medicine, licensed in MA, with at least 6 months of Addiction Medicine experience, and able

• Sign off on NP/PA charts.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment.
• Obtain patient history and perform physical exams.
• Document in EMR and issue methadone dosing orders or buprenorphine prescriptions.
• Monitor dosages in coordination with treatment center team.
• Provide consultations on high-risk patients and conduct annual medication reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Primary Job Function:

• Admitting Patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment.
• Physician will obtain a history and physical exam.
• Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or writing a buprenorphine prescription (soon this will be electronic, but we currently have a waiver to use written scripts while we are moving to a new EMR).
• Consistently monitoring patient dosages in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director, Counselors and Dosing Nurses.
• Consulting on patients that are high risk and doing annual medication reviews.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications | Education | Certifications:

• Board Certified or Eligible in Addiction Medicine
• Must be licensed in the state of MA
• At least 6 months of experience in Addiction Medicine
• Must be able to sign off on NP/PA charts
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check

Salary ranges from $158 to $185 an hour.

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty, and training.
