Job summary

BayMark Health Services, Inc. seeks a Part-Time Program Physician in Massachusetts to support our HCRC clinics across Chicopee, Northampton, Greenfield, and Westfield.

The physician will admit patients to methadone and buprenorphine programs, perform histories and physicals, and manage dosing under supervision. Scheduled 8:00 am – 1:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with responsibilities include EMR documentation, dose adjustment, and annual reviews.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Eligible in Addiction Medicine.
• Licensed in the state of MA.
• At least 6 months of experience in Addiction Medicine.
• Must be able to sign off on NP/PA charts.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment.
• Obtain patient history and perform physical exams.
• Document in EMR and enter methadone dosing orders or buprenorphine scripts.
• Monitor patient dosages with center director and staff.
• Consult on high-risk patients and perform annual medication reviews.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education

Board Certified or Eligible in Addiction Medicine

Licensed in MA

6 months of Addiction Medicine experience

Ability to sign off NP/PA charts

Drug screen and background check clearance

Primary Job Function:

• Admitting Patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment.
• Physician will obtain a history and physical exam.
• Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or writing a buprenorphine prescription (soon this will be electronic, but we currently have a waiver to use written scripts while we are moving to a new EMR).
• Consistently monitoring patient dosages in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director, Counselors and Dosing Nurses.
• Consulting on patients that are high risk and doing annual medication reviews.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Salary ranges from $158 to $185 an hour.

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty, and training.
