Job summary

NHC HomeCare Milan in Milan, TN is seeking a PRN/Part-Time Physical Therapist to join our team. The Physical Therapist supervises and participates in applying physical therapy techniques for rehabilitation.

The role coordinates and provides PT services as ordered, supervising assistants, setting goals, and conducting re-evaluations under physician direction; state license required, APTA-accredited degree, and preferred supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold BS or MS in physical therapy accredited by the APTA.
• Must be licensed or registered in the practicing state.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.
• Active member of state/national PT associations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises physical therapy services.
• Provides physical therapy services as ordered by the physician and delegates portions of the treatment program to the licensed physical therapy assistant.
• Instructs the physical therapy staff in delegated functions including precautions, progress goals and plan for re-evaluation.
• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments and programs including short- and long-term goals with physician-approved re-evaluations.
