Job summary

NHC HomeCare Milan is seeking a PRN/Part Time Physical Therapist to join our team in Milan, TN. The PT will supervise and apply physical therapy techniques to rehabilitate patients with disabilities, injuries, or diseases, under physician orders.

The ideal candidate is a licensed PT with BS/MS in Physical Therapy, and preferably one year of supervisory experience; active membership in state and national PT associations is preferred. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a BS or MS in physical therapy accredited by the APTA.
• Must be licensed or registered in the practicing state.
• One year experience in a supervisory role preferred.
• Active member of state and national Physical Therapy Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise physical therapy services.
• Provide PT services as ordered by the physician and delegate to PT assistant as appropriate.
• Instruct staff on precautions, goals and re-evaluation plans.
• Evaluate and plan treatments with short- and long-term patient goals.

Position: Physical Therapist

NHC HomeCare Milan is looking for a PRN/Part Time Physical Therapist to join our team. The Physical Therapist supervises and participates in the application of physical therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or registered under the statutes of the state in which the physical therapist will be practicing.

PT Position Highlights

• Coordinates and supervises physical therapy services.


• Provides physical therapy services as ordered by the referring physician and delegates appropriate portions of the treatment program to the licensed physical therapy assistant.


• Instructs the physical therapy staff in their delegated functions including precautions, special problems, contraindications, anticipated progress goals and plan for re-evaluation.


• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments and programs including the establishment of short-term and long-term goals for patients as approved by the physician with periodic re-evaluations.
