Job summary

Feather River Tribal Health is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy professional to implement and oversee the in-house PT program for patients with mobility limitations. You will evaluate referrals, develop plans of care with the physician, and coordinate with staff to deliver effective therapy.

The role requires a California PT license or eligibility, a minimum of one year in PT, and CPR certification. You will work in a team-focused, culturally respectful environment with ongoing training

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited physical therapy program.
• California physical therapy license or the ability to be licensed.
• Minimum of one year experience in physical therapy treatment.
• Ability to use variety of computer programs related to charting.
• Current CPR certificate.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of patients referred for physical therapy.
• Development of plans of care in conjunction with referring provider.
• Coordinates the physical therapy plan of care with staff and other healthcare providers
• Timely documentation in the clinical record.
• Work with FRTH departments to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Assists with development of programs and policies relating to physical therapy.
• Assists with improvement of patient education programs.
• Ensure infection control requirements of equipment used for patient care is done within set guidelines.
• Submits supply requests to Lobby Receptionist to ensure supplies available for treatment.
• Initiate and maintain Problem Oriented Medical Records (“S.O.A.P.” format) using dictated patient summaries, provider templates, and/or electronic health records.
• At the time of hire, each employee will meet with their supervisor to set measurable goals and objectives that are a requirement for the position.
