Job summary

Bronson Healthcare in Mattawan is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant for subacute rehabilitation at Bronson Commons. The PA will assist the licensed PT and contribute to patient care, education, and program development within a team-based setting.

The role requires PTA program graduate, Michigan license in good standing, and BLS within 3 months. A valid Michigan driver's license and willingness to drive for Bronson at Home are needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program required.
• Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing in Michigan.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Current driver's license in Michigan; daily car use and proof of insurance required for Bronson at Home.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care and goals established by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide direct patient care including physical, electrical, mechanical, and heat treatments.
• Conduct individual and/or group Physical Therapy activities according to treatment plan; instruct patients.
• Interdisciplinary team discussions or hospital rounds involvement.
• Documentation in the electronic health record per compliance timelines.
• Supervision of Rehab Clinical Assistant, PTA students and volunteers.
