Job summary

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Cheshire House Nursing in Waterbury, Connecticut. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, provide direct patient care, and document progress while collaborating with Physical Therapists and the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program is required.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
• Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Monitor and document patient progress and educate patients and families on treatment protocols.
• Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in line with policies and standards.
