Ernest Health, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a full-time role at our Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. The position involves assisting in implementing PT plans under supervision and supporting pediatric to geriatric patients in an inpatient rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification from an approved vendor required.
• One year of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• Demonstrates competency in care according to established standards and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a physical therapist, implement treatment plans with patients.
• Perform components of physical therapy procedures and related tasks as supervised.
• Record patient responses to treatment and report outcomes to the therapist.
• Contribute to the hospital's mission and guiding principles in daily practice.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a physical therapist, may be involved in implementing treatment plans with patients. Performs components of physical therapy procedures and related tasks selected by a supervising physical therapist. Records the patient's responses to treatment and reports to the physical therapist the outcome of each treatment. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
