Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat a wide range of patients, including pediatric to geriatric populations. The role involves a 24-hour work week (3x8) with one weekend every four weeks, in an acute care setting, requiring MA licensure and board certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Massachusetts PT license.
• Successful completion of National Physical Therapy Board Examination.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapy evaluations and develops treatment plans.
• Analyzes patient data and assesses progress; communicates with physicians.
• Provides individualized treatment including ROM, therapeutic exercises and manual therapy.
• Educates patients and families; participates in discharge planning.
• Documents care and completes therapy billing.
• Maintains department operations, inventory and safety.
• Supervises students and supports program development.
