Job summary

BioLife is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to screen donors, perform plasmapheresis-related phlebotomy, and support plasma center operations. You will greet donors, monitor during donation, and manage equipment setup and troubleshooting.

The role emphasizes reliable attendance, customer service, and commitment to quality in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided to start strong and adapt to center processes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk/stand for the entire shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays availability.
• Able to bend, stoop, reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Able to lift up to 5 lbs; occasional lifting up to 32 lbs; rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens, 90% of tasks require glove wear.
• 1+ year in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machine.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
• Record donor vitals and enter data into DIS system.
• Coordinate donor flow and compensate donors via Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational improvements.
