Job summary

BioLife is hiring for a part-time plasma donor screener role. You will perform phlebotomy and donor screening, support plasma center operations, and interact with donors with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work 4–6 hour shifts, 3+ days per week, including weekends and holidays, with paid training and a path for growth within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays will be worked.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• 90% of tasks require glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
• 1+ years minimum experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donors while ensuring donor safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes per approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
