Job summary

Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis is seeking a Phlebotomist for the evening shift. This role collects specimens, handles specimens, and may perform additional lab tasks in outpatient or on-site settings.

You must have a High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree is preferred. Candidates typically have 2–5 years of phlebotomy experience, with BLS and Phlebotomy certifications valued. This is a part-time, 24-hour per week position at the South Campus with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years phlebotomy experience.
• BLS and Phlebotomy certifications beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Interpret orders, collect specimens and ensure specimen integrity.
• Perform phlebotomy with proper patient identification and interaction.
• Sort and process specimens and manage workload to meet turnaround times.
• May assist with registration, inventory maintenance, or other duties as assigned.
