Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our laboratory team with rotating weekends.

You will assist in technical and clerical tasks, manage specimen collection and processing, and perform venipuncture as needed, using LIS for registration.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training or certification is required.
• Experience in phlebotomy is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in technical and clerical tasks in the Laboratory department.
• Manage collection, acceptance, receipt and processing of specimens.
• Attend to samples received through pneumatic tube stations.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture as needed.
• Complete computerized registration of patient samples using LIS.
• Perform basic quality control steps and inventory tasks.
