Job summary

Labcorp in Elgin, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule is Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-7:30pm, rotating Friday and Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm. Perform venipuncture and capillary collections across all ages, collect specimens for various tests, and enter data accurately.

Responsibilities include processing billing, preparing specimens for testing, maintaining logs, and delivering excellent patient service. Some travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Elgin, IL.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• 1 year or more Pediatric experience
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay and Incentives

Pay Range: $17.50 - $24.50 per hour Eligible for 2nd Shift Differential All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
