Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy certification for WA state preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and patient safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy on patients, donors, research participants and employees.
• Prepare collection equipment per policies; verify patient name and DOB.
• Instruct patients on urine and stool specimen collection.
• Maintain professional relationships via timely communication with staff and patients.
• Record variances in Patient Safety Net as required.
