Job summary

Oncology Hematology Associates in Springfield, MO is seeking a phlebotomy technician responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting and maintenance.

You will perform blood draws, prepare specimens, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining safety and accuracy. A minimum of one year phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma are required; onsite work with occasional overtime may apply.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Perform laboratory blood work and blood draws.
• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing.
• Perform technical laboratory procedures accurately and timely to meet accrediting/regulatory standards.
• Prepare blood or bone marrow slides for evaluation.
• Receive lab reports and document in patient chart or EMR for physician review.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
• Assist in training new employees in related duties.
