Job summary

Oncology Hematology Associates is seeking a dedicated phlebotomy technician to join the laboratory team. The role focuses on phlebotomy, lab testing, and quality control to support accurate patient results.

You will prepare slides as needed, help with regulatory compliance, and ensure proper documentation in EMR. The position may require support at multiple company locations and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing with accuracy and speed.
• Conduct quality control procedures before patient testing.
• Prepare blood or bone marrow slides for evaluation, when applicable.
• Coordinate sending outside lab specimens to appropriate facilities as dictated by patient insurance.
• Receive and document lab reports in the patient chart or EMR for physician review.
• Maintain equipment, instruments, and inventory; notify purchasing when stock is low.
• Assist in training new employees on related duties and safety protocols.
• Support compliance with state and federal regulations for patient care and data privacy.
• Work at multiple company locations as needed to meet business demands.
• Work overtime with proper notice when required.
