Job summary

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy education program or related clinical experience preferred.
• Certification/Registration by a recognized agency preferred.
• Prefer 1 year phlebotomy experience.
• Minimum of 50 successful collections performed.

Responsibilities

• Obtains blood specimens and nonblood samples for lab testing.
• Verifies patient identification and checks test orders before collection.
• Performs venipunctures and capillary sticks using aseptic technique.
• Maintains specimen integrity and coordinates timed tests.
• Answers calls, routes inquiries, and supports lab communication.
• Monitors orders in LIS and ensures proper specimen processing.
