Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control procedures before patient testing.
• Perform laboratory blood work and blood draws.
• Follow specimen handling and processing procedures.
• Conduct technical lab procedures with accuracy and timeliness to meet accrediting standards.
• Prepare blood or bone marrow slides for evaluation.
• Document lab reports in the patient chart in the EMR or lab system.
• Maintain inventory and place supply orders as needed.
• Troubleshoot instrument issues; contact central lab or service when needed.
• Participate in compliance with all laws and regulations related to patient care and safety.
