Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and specimen processing at a client site in Glenview. This 28-hour-per-week role runs Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 1:30pm, and requires phlebotomy certification or CMA certification along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

You will deliver expert phlebotomy services, maintain excellent customer service, and support the team in adhering to ethics and compliance standards within NM.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or CMA certification required.
• Experience in healthcare phlebotomy preferred.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday 7:30am–1:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age-related standards and policies.
• Demonstrates AIDET model and optimizes patient safety.
• Receives and reviews physician orders and enters orders for lab tests.
• Maintains safe work environment and biohazard waste procedures.
• Performs clerical duties related to lab operations and specimen handling.
