Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Part-Time Phlebotomist II in Hazlet, NJ. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with rotational weekends. The role involves specimen collection, blood draws, and data entry in a fast-paced lab environment.

Candidates should have phlebotomy experience and high school completion; medical training or phlebotomy certification is preferred. The position offers competitive pay and benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
