Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in York, PA is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a part-time role, Monday to Friday 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM with rotational weekends. The pay range starts at $22.35 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonus based on performance.

The position demands at least three years of phlebotomy experience, strong data entry skills, and the ability to work with diverse patient populations. High school diploma required; phlebotomy certification preferred in some states.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties, including inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
