Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Jersey City, NJ, seeks a Phlebotomist I for a part-time role scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The position offers a pay range of $22.80–$24.45 per hour and includes eligibility for annual performance bonuses based on factors such as skills, training, and experience.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, processing orders, data entry, and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA/NV/WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Handle non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols, procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance/temperature logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
