Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Orlando, FL, seeks a Phlebotomist I for a part-time schedule: Mon/Wed/Fri 7:00 AM–12:00 PM and Sat 6:00 AM–12:00 PM. Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and patient service in a clinical laboratory setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA/NV/WA). One year phlebotomy experience and strong English communication are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA/NV/WA).

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify orders using lab systems and client contacts.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, emails).
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete trainings timely.
