Quest Diagnostics in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist II for Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:45 AM to 1:45 PM. The role collects specimens, performs routine phlebotomy, and ensures accurate patient data entry in a busy laboratory setting.

Pay range is $21.50 - $23.05 per hour with potential annual performance bonus. Requires 3 years of phlebotomy experience and high school diploma; certification preferred and required in CA, NV, WA.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience and ability to navigate computer systems.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compiling statistics and data as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature, etc.).
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
