Job summary

Advocate HealthCare is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join the ACL Laboratories – Sherman team. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, proper labeling, and coordination with billing and other departments. Shifts start between 4:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient ID and ensure safety.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens per protocol.
• Label specimens and resolve identification issues.
• Assist with inventory and maintain supplies/equipment.
• Respond to specimen procurement requests and manage test orders.
• Instruct staff in phlebotomy and data entry.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care for all patients.
