Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of a PC, and be able to learn and use new software.
• Must pass Pharmacy math and spelling test with a minimum score of 80%.
• Must successfully complete training to perform cashier duties within 90 days from initial employment.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures to prepare and distribute medication orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Operates an electronic cash register, entering charges and handling payments securely.
• Prepares for shifts by ensuring cash registers are stocked and ready.
• Maintains inventory records and prescription hardcopies.
• May perform prescription order entry in ambulatory pharmacy system.
