Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) seeks a Night Shift Pharmacy Technician at New Parkland Hospital to support pharmacists in preparing orders, packaging, labeling, cashiering, and inventory tracking.

The ideal candidate will hold a High School diploma or GED, be registered as a Texas-Board Pharmacy Technician, and preferably have experience in inpatient, IV/infusion, retail, or mail-order pharmacy within a health system. Training for cashier duties is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: experience in health-system pharmacy roles (inpatient, IV/Infusion, retail, mail order, or repackaging).
• Current CPhT certification preferred; Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration required.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures to prepare/distribute medication orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Operates electronic cash register, processes payments, and gives correct change.
• Prepares cash register at shift start and maintains secure cash handling.
